A Snowy Sketch

I captured this nature portrait, along with "Snow-Capped", "Snowy Autumn Foliage", and "Snowy Treetops", in my backyard on November 11th, 2019. After a large snowfall, I saw that a lot of the snow stuck to the trees and formed different patterns and lines that give the scene a three-dimensional appearance. I like the depth that this adds to the image the best. Due to it being unusually cold for November this day, I made the white balance of the color "cooler" (more blue) to reflect this as well. I also like the way the low light of the evening made the brightness of the snow more pronounced.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Limited to 200 productions per size.

Framed prints are available in 20" x 16", 30" x 24", and 40" x 30" sizes.
