Daystar

I captured this landscape while in Rensselaer, Indiana on December 4th, 2019. When I captured this landscape, I wanted a "sunstar" to be the main subject since the sky was very clear. I used the radio tower as a center point for the image as I think its an unconventional but interesting element for a landscape image. I used a circular polarizer lens filter to darken the blue sky and reduce glare from the atmosphere to make the sunstar and few clouds contrast better with the background and to make the sky more vivid.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Limited to 100 productions per size.

Framed prints are available in 18" x 12", 24" x 16", 30" x 20", 36" x 24", 45" x 30", and 60" x 40" sizes.
