A Winter's Sunset

I captured this nature portrait in my backyard on February 8th, 2017. On this evening, I saw this sunset through my kitchen window and decided to grab my camera, go outside, and photograph it. The multiple, vivid colors in the sky is what drew me to this scene the most. I also wanted to capture the snow that stuck to the tree branches because it adds outlines that resemble "fractures" in the scene. I also like the treetops because they create distinctive lines with varying patterns that contrast with the bright sky in the background.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Limited to 150 productions per size.

Framed prints are available in 20" x 16", 30" x 24", 40" x 30", and 50" x 40" sizes.
